

Da Pietro was born in 1955 as Italy’s first “tavola calda”, a forward-thinking concept for its time. Initially a meeting place for Como locals, the restaurant quickly became a cornerstone of the community, long before tourism flourished. Today, as the city’s oldest family-owned establishment, Da Pietro proudly holds the title of “Attività Storica”, a mark of enduring quality and hospitality.
The journey began with Pietro’s grandfather, a visionary man who brought his experience as director of the iconic Savini in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele to Como. Over 35 years of meticulous care laid the foundation of what Da Pietro represents today. After a brief chapter under the second generation, Pietro himself stepped in nine years ago, driven by a clear mission: to preserve authenticity while welcoming back locals and loyal patrons.








Da Pietro has grown beyond its roots as a single restaurant, evolving into a family of locations reflecting the same passion to quality and hospitality. With the launch of the POPUP in 2021 and the upcoming opening of our artisanal Pastificio, we’re embracing new ways to bring people together over good food. Each venture, whether it’s a quick burger at the POPUP or freshly made pasta from the Pastificio, embodies the spirit of dedication and care that has defined us for decades.
